Other Information
GIBBON PASS
The name has been used since at least 1929 when it was referred to as such by the Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies.
Murray Gibbon was head of publicity for the CPR and as such actively promoted such organizations as the Trail Riders, Skyline Hikers, and the Ski Runners of the Canadian Rockies. He promoted Skoki Lodge in its early years. One of the ways that he did this was by providing transportation to Peter and Catherine Whyte so that they could promote the Lodge.
