Trails of the Southern Cariboo
by Colin Campbell

With the remnants of the gold rush still in evidence, the south-central Cariboo is one of the most fascinating regions of the B.C. Interior. Within easy access of towns like Williams lake, 100 Mile House and Clinton are a multitude of hikes of varying length and terrain, including tranquil meadow trails, a short scramble on the core of an extinct volcano, and longer hikes in the Marble Mountains.

Author Colin Campbell lives on 108 Mile Ranch overlooking Walker Valley. A teacher-librarian at the high school in 100 Mile House, much of his free time is spent running, biking and skiing the area trails.
