Meet the Authors:

Ray Djuff was born an army brat in Calgary and as soon as he had his marching legs, he was off with his parents on their military-mandated journeys. He grew up in cities across Western Canada, and spent six years in Germany before settling in Calgary. While working his way through university, he took a job at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton Lakes National Park, and after four summers discovered he was consumed by the hotel, the park and its sister park, Glacier, in Montana. He's returned almost every summer since to Glacier and Waterton, with wife or kids in tow, each time discovering new historical topics of interest.

When not working as a copy editor at the Calgary Herald, he's planning his next trip and dreaming, to the frustration of his very loving and tolerant wife, of what next to write about the parks.
